6Contribution of Media towards a better India and World
Krishna Reddy: what do you think is the role of media (print, online, TV, Cinema, radio) in creating a better world?
Inna Reddy: Media being the fourth estate of democracy has a very crucial role to play to bring change in society by questioning the social and political evils which are prevailing since time immemorial. Unfortunately, some media houses run with their hidden biased political agenda for their own benefits irrespective of the concern towards playing a positive role in society. Anyhow, civil society must always be prepared in using other alternative ways for questioning the evils and propagating the good for the ultimate benefit of the society. Positively investigative journalism must always be adopted by media houses in the interest of all people of the society. For the transparent functioning of the legislative, executive and judicial systems, investigative journalism can be like a watchdog.
